1980's Abstract Painting in Pastel Colors, Impasto Mixed-Media on Board

1980s textured abstract painting in the style of Cubo-Futurism, an early 20th century art movement from Russia which fuses artistic elements found in both Cubism and Futurist artwork, circa 1988. The mixed-media painting features impasto technique in acrylic paint over board, while occasionally incorporating the use of gesso. The painting floats within a rustic wood frame made of reclaimed wood which serves as part of the artwork. The black painted frame creates a striking contrast from the muted hues and pastel colors of the painting. The series of geometric and figural patterns are heightened by the variation of pale colors in the painting which primarily features pink, blue, green, and yellow against a backdrop of neutral shades of grey and white. The reverse side of the painting features a series of painted scribbles and patterns with the documented dates in which the artist worked on the piece. The date in red is when the piece was completed. Illegible signature by the artist on both the front and the back of the painting.
